Downtown Healthy & Safe Pledge

The Downtown Healthy & Safe Pledge is designed to give customers confidence that your location, and downtown as a whole, is committed to meeting the criteria outlined by state and local authorities, and consistently focused on putting employee and customer safety first. By taking the pledge, you will receive a window cling to display at your main entrance and access to branded communications materials to support your own marketing and outreach efforts.

Downtown Healthy & Safe Pledge Requirements
I Pledge to:*
- Establish daily cleaning and disinfection of high-touch areas in accordance with CDC protocols.

- Provide employees regular access to hand washing stations, soap, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes.
*
- Regularly clean common areas—including break rooms, locker rooms, dining facilities, restrooms, conference rooms, and training rooms—daily and between shifts.
*
- Provide face coverings for employees to wear while at the job site and require employees to wear the coverings while on site—except where the employee can maintain physical distance of six feet or is using his or her break time to eat or drink.

- Establish protocols in the event the employment site has been exposed to a person who has a probable or confirmed case of COVID-19.
*
- Inform employees in written English and any language spoken by at least 10% of the employees who work at the job site of the protocols and practices set forth above.

- Continue to update protocols and procedures as new guidance is issued from Federal, State and Sacramento County authorities.

- Display "Keeping COVID In Check" Signage.
