Artists Maggie Gomez-Devos and Raul Mejia present an eco-friendly tribute to Frida with a multimedia art exhibition and special birthday reception.

VIVA LA FRIDA is a fusion of art, music, and fashion experience with complimentary wine. Local artists Maggie Gomez-Devos and Raul Mejia (Soytiger) showcase vibrant mixed-media works driven by the legendary Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. This reception celebrates Frida Kahlo’s July birthday by highlighting her influence through art and fashion.

Raul Mejia brings Kahlo to life through expressive portraits on reclaimed wooden panels. Maggie Gomez-Devos contributes sculptural paper mache masks, collages, and fashion pieces created from repurposed textiles and found objects.

During the reception, Mejia and Gomez-Devos will present their creative process. Photography opportunities within a surreal art installation, inviting the community to arrive dressed in Frida best for a Frida look-alike contest.

The ongoing exhibition runs from June 14th until August 3rd, 2025.
