Our Six Districts

Downtown Sacramento has an energy that is incomparable. It is made up of six unique sub-districts with their own distinct identities and attractions. Our boundaries span from the waterfront to 16th St., and H St. to the Capitol.

Civic Center

The Civic Center houses city, county, state, and federal government buildings and their employees. Speak at city council, carry out your civic duty, or run into the mayor having lunch at La Cosecha.

Old Sacramento Waterfront

Old Sacramento Waterfront is the most visited downtown district. Unique and historic architecture, cobblestone streets, the embarcadero, and diverse businesses merge the old with the new.

Capitol Mall

Capitol Mall is the gateway to the fifth largest economy in the world. It has the most sought-after business addresses in Sacramento and is the destination for our region’s biggest events.

Entertainment District

The Entertainment District is home to the Sacramento Kings! In Downtown Commons (DOCO), Golden 1 Center (G1C) hosts nail-biting games, life-changing concerts, and mind-blowing events.

Theater District

The Theater District is the spot for world-class opera, ballet, and national Broadway tours. The SAFE Credit Union Convention Center and Performing Arts Center welcome innovators, enthusiasts, and thespians to downtown.
