On Thursday, June 13, join local artist, bartender, and creative force Ryan Seng for the release of his debut novel Love it All, F**k it All—a gritty and imaginative dive into Urban Fantasy Noir. The party will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Citizen Hotel’s Scandal Bar, located at 926 J Street, Sacramento. The event is open to the public.

If you’ve spent any time at Sacramento’s beloved bars or admired art around town, chances are you’ve already encountered Seng’s work. He was the head bartender at Grange Restaurant & Bar from 2008 to 2016 and the founder of Can Can Cocktails, known nationwide for its craft drinks in cans—each featuring his signature artwork. Most recently, he co-created and ran the Historic Star Lounge. His artwork hangs prominently at local institutions including The Shady Lady and Grange.

Now, Seng is channeling his years of experience in hospitality into something new: a strange, raw, and darkly funny novel. Love it All, F**k it All follows Roland Desmund, a lizard-man restaurateur drawn into the underworld of brothels and extortion by mysterious wolf-headed enforcers. The book blends noir sensibilities with surreal fantasy, illustrated with original ink drawings for each chapter—and yes, it even includes a few drink recipes.

The book release party will feature:

Live music by acclaimed Austin musician Sophia Seng
Books, art prints, merch, and more available for purchase
