Nibling Rivalry is a loosely related improv show. Our format is loosely related to that of the Crazy Uncle Joe Show at the Groundlings Theater in LA. Our scenes are loosely related to each other. And our cast is like a loosely related family in that we finish each other's sentences. (The word kind, not the prison kind.)
Each show begins with a trio of scenes based on three different audience suggestions. Then we unleash an avalanche of interconnected scenes where a panoply of characters escalate an array of scenarios to the pinnacles of silliness. Don't get too cozy though — we'll ask for a fresh batch of suggestions halfway through and do it all over again. Your face cheeks will hurt from laughing harder than you're used to. We promise.
(What's a nibling, you ask? It's a gender-neutral term for niece/nephew. Think of us as a bunch of rascally cousins with a famous Hollywood uncle.)
And! For the first time ever, we'll be sharing the Friday-night stage with Murder, You Wrote — a fully improvised whodunit where the audience gets to decide whodidit. (It's clever, mischievous, and very funny.) They'll kick off the night at 7:30 p.m., and if you buy tickets for both shows at the same time, you'll get a $5 discount on each ticket. That's two AMAZING shows for just $19. INCREDIBLE. Just load tickets for either show into your cart, proceed to checkout, and the promotional offer will pop up. Easy. Peasy.
