Join us for a special night of stand-up comedy and a screening of the series pilot for “The Host” created by Luke Soin and the dudes at Hyper Live!

The stand-up portion of the show will feature comedians who play parts in “The Host,” including headliner Shane Mauss (Comedy Central, WTF with Marc Maron, Conan). The show will also feature Gabriel Alexander, Britt Birrer, Shaheen Khal, Mikel Nordstrom, and The Host himself, Luke Soin.

The Host is a sitcom following two stand-up comedians in Sacramento, CA, Luke (Luke Soin) and Mike (Mikel Nordstrom). Together they produce a comedy show in Luke’s backyard called, “Cornerhouse Comedy.”

In this episode, Shane Mauss guest stars as himself, headlining Luke’s backyard comedy show. When Shane requests an obscure, designer psychedelic drug called “Pilly Poppers,” Luke’s people-pleaser instinct kicks in, driving him to ask Mike if he can score the mysterious drug.

Mike says yes, but while visiting his first drug contact, Mike parks in a loading zone and gets a boot placed onto his car. Now, stuck in midtown and fueled by rage, Mike tells Luke he is on his own.

Luke must then go all over Sacramento searching for the drug by asking every open micer he knows, while Mike goes on his own journey of revenge, only to find Eagles fans…and love?

Will Luke find the “Pilly Poppers” that Shane needs for the show? Or will he let his biggest guest down and be…a bad host??
