Who You Should See at Concerts in the Park 2025

Concerts in the Park is back next Friday, May 2! We’ve lined up nine weeks of live music featuring a mix of local legends, rising stars, and national acts that know how to bring the energy.
We built each week’s lineup to spotlight a different genre, so whether you’re into four-on-the-floor dance music, nostalgic indie, beachy reggae, or emo anthems, there’s a night for you. We also made Spotify playlists for each week to give you a little sampler of what’s in store. Here’s a preview of what to expect this season:
Week 1: Sacramento Showcase | Headliner: Jon Wiiilde
We’re starting strong with a stacked lineup of homegrown talent. Expect soulful R&B, genre-blurring jazz, powerhouse vocals, and a headliner whose sound can’t be put in a box. Jon Wiilde brings a dynamic set that’s as Sacramento as it gets: eclectic, unexpected, and full of heart. This night is all about celebrating the city’s creative pulse.
Week 2: EDM | Headliner: Discrete
Get ready to move. This lineup blends heavy-hitting bass, ambient beats, and club-ready energy. Discrete’s sound pairs big vocals with that classic house groove, perfect for getting lost in the music under the stars.
Week 3: R&B (with a hint of Pop) | Headliner: Khloe Rose
This is going to be a great night to ease into the weekend — laid-back, sunny-day sounds with just enough bounce to keep your feet moving. This lineup leans into Northern California chill. Khloe Rose is a pop girlie bringing a lot of emotion and soul to the stage.
Week 4: Hip-Hop | Headliner: XZIBIT
Pimp My Downtown: we’re going hard this week. The hip-hop/MTV icon, XZIBIT, is hitting the stage. And this season, I’m personally most excited to see D. Sean. Hyphy is alive and well with this one. From the D to the Bay, this week is all about rawness and charisma.
Week 5: Indie | Headliner: Phantogram
We’re starting the night out with some classic indie rock: guitar-forward with introspective edginess. Then we transition into rich textures, hypnotic beats, and synths that’ll tickle your brain. Alongside groups like Purity Ring and CHVRCHES, Phantogram helped define the indie-electronic movement in the 2010s, delivering dark, cinematic, and nostalgic anthems.
Week 6: Alternative | Headliner: Dexter & The Moonrocks
Beach rock meets southern grit, with some moody reflection and classic rock & roll in the mix. It’ll feel like you’re hitting the beach, a coffee shop unplugged set, and a dive bar all in one night.
Week 7: Reggae | Headliner: The Expendables
It’s reggae night, you already know the vibes. We’ve got that classic feel-good energy with a twist. The Expendables blend roots reggae with surf rock, punk, and even a touch of hip hop. This lineup’s got range.
Week 8: Emo | Headliner: Winona Fighter
The vocals are huge, the guitars are gritty, and the emotions are high. Winona Fighter has that classic angsty sound, but brings a modern point of view and sense of humor. Bring your voice. Bring your baggage. Let it all out.
Week 9: Americana | Headliner: Jackie Greene
This week is full of storytelling, soul, and the kind of songwriting that makes you feel like you’re in the forest surrounded by redwoods, even though you’re in the middle of downtown. A set from Sacramento-raised Jackie Greene is going to be the perfect way to wrap up the end of the CIP season.
Join us every Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM for great sets, food trucks, vendors, and that Sacramento summer energy. See you at Cesar Chavez Plaza!
