Terra Madre Americas: Know Before You Go

You may have heard the name Terra Madre Americas, but where is it, what should you make sure to see, and why is it so cool that it’s happening in Sacramento? Keep reading to find out!
What is Terra Madre Americas?
Terra Madre Americas is the largest food festival the city has ever hosted, and it’s free to attend. This all-new event combines Sacramento’s Farm-to-Fork Festival with Terra Madre Americas, the U.S. edition of Slow Food International’s renowned Terra Madre Salone del Gusto.
Located in the heart of downtown, the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center and surrounding streets will host three days of food and drink tastings, interactive exhibits, celebrity chef demonstrations, educational panels, hands-on workshops, a rotating culinary bistro, an Enoteca wine bar featuring 80+ labels, and a live music lineup headlined by The War on Drugs, Spoon, Big Head Todd and The Monsters, Jade Bird, and Passion Pit (solo acoustic).
Where is Terra Madre Americas Located?
Terra Madre Americas is inside the convention center and similar to Farm-to-Fork festival, they have closed the streets for vendors and live music.
You can enter the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center through the West Entrance.
You can enter the street festival on I Street and 15th Street or J Street and 14th Street.
