Sac Anime
SacAnime is the largest pop culture convention in Northern California, specializing in Anime, Animation and Video Gaming. This family friendly event includes a huge exhibitor/artist alley, free video game, arcade and board/ccg gaming room as well as special celebrity guests, panels, workshops, cosplay masquerade and much more. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
River Cruises: Sightseeing or Sips
Enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Sacramento River during a family-friendly sightseeing cruise or a 21+ cocktail cruise. This weekend you can buy one get one 50% off!
Historic Walking Food Tour
Explore Old Sacramento on a guided food tour that combines old west tales with local bites (5–6 stops). Cost is around $95 for adults, $75 for kids, with timed departures on August 31 and September 1.
Museum Tours
Visit the Sacramento History Museum in Old Sacramento to dive deep into Gold Rush history, Native American culture, and early city life, with engaging exhibits like a working historic print shop.
Let CA Railroad Museum help introduce and foster the love of reading for your little ones! All Aboard for Story Time takes place inside the Museum every Monday of each month with readings at 11:00 a.m., year-around. This program is included with Museum admission.
