Join the Sacramento History Museum for a special season of West End Blues, where Sacramento’s musical heritage meets the next generation of local talent. Set against the backdrop of Old Sacramento’s historic waterfront, this concert series celebrates the rich traditions of blues, jazz, and American music while showcasing some of the region’s most inspiring young musicians.

Each evening features live performances, fascinating stories about Sacramento’s musical past, and an opportunity to experience the energy and creativity of emerging artists. Whether you’re a longtime music lover or simply looking for a unique night out, West End Blues offers an unforgettable blend of history, community, and live entertainment.

Hosted by the Sacramento History Museum and featuring the musical direction of Harley White Jr., this series highlights the incredible talent being cultivated right here in Sacramento while connecting audiences to the stories and sounds that have shaped our city.

Come support local youth musicians, celebrate Sacramento’s vibrant music community, and enjoy an evening where history and music come alive.

September 9 – The Sacramento Youth Band (SYB)

The Sacramento Youth Band (SYB) is a community-based nonprofit organization providing area youth with an opportunity to play in our Symphonic Band, Jazz Big Band, Jazz Combo and our new Junior Concert Band.

SYB provides band members with a place to expand their musical abilities, meet new friends, and travel to perform in other cities including San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara and more.
