Fall of Freedom is a national movement  in every community on November 21-23.  encouraging artists all over the United States to use their artistic voices in resistance to injustice, dehumanization and threats to democracy.

The I Street Art Studios gallery special event is coordinated by the Inclusionists, a fluid group of Sacramento artists, began in 1985 with the premise that the practice of art is an act of personal integrity and that artists have an obligation to their community and planet.  The I Street Art Studios is hosting the event as a special art show entitled Creative Resistance,  This exhibition features the “resistance” works of 20 local artists in response to “Fall of Freedom”, in solidarity with artists throughout the country.  The show will be open Friday, Nov 21 4-6 pm, Saturday Nov 22 5-9 pm with music and spoken word 7-9 pm, and Sunday 2-4 pm at I Street Art Studios, 1727 I Street.  The 4 studios of the 19 resident artists will also be open during the show.  Check Fall of Freedom to find other events in the Sacramento community.
