Murder, You Wrote is a hilarious improvised whodunit where one unlucky performer meets a dire fate in our opening act. Our detective and their trusted sidekick will use their interrogation skills to suss out the culprit and solve the case. The twist? The audience gets to decide who the killer is amongst an array of suspects who are anything but usual.

The cast of Murder, You Wrote is excited to announce a special engagement of our improvised murder mystery aboard the Delta King in Old Sacramento! With suggestions from our audience, we'll weave a hilarious tale of mischief, misanthropy, and machinations. A murderous fate awaits one of our performers, and it'll be up to you to decide who did the deed. Our detective and their trusted sidekick will then unravel exactly how the crime went down. The boat is moored, but our comedy will be anything but.

Tucked in the hull of the ship is a beautifully appointed 110-seat Victorian-style theater, replete with velvet curtains and footlights. Join us, won't you, for a supremely vibey version of our made-up-on-the-spot whodunit?
Murder, You Wrote debuted at the Sacramento Comedy Spot in August of 2022. It was developed by local talent, and has been performed every month ever since by a cast of wonderfully funny homegrown improvisers and dozens of guest players from every corner of the region. The only folks having more fun than the audience are the performers on stage.
