Murder, You Wrote is a hilarious improvised whodunit where one unlucky performer meets a dire fate in our opening act. Our detective and their trusted sidekick will use their interrogation skills to suss out the culprit and solve the case. The twist? The audience gets to decide who the killer is amongst an array of suspects who are anything but usual.
Fun fact: Friday, June 20 is the longest day of the year! Sun fact: Sacramento will enjoy approximately 14 hours and 51 minutes of daylight on the solstice! Stun fact: Just as the sun sets on the horizon that evening, our killer will be revealed on stage!
So kick off the shortest night of the year by helping us solve a mystery — Who did it? Where are we? What's the weapon? You'll decide, and our cast will make up the rest. A not-to-be-outdone fact: this cheeky little whodunit will be fully improvised right before your very eyes!
BONUS OFFER! If you want to make it a night of comedy, grab tickets for the rollicking good time that is Nibling Rivalry at 9 p.m. (It's based on one of LA's hottest improv shows!) When you buy tickets for both, you'll qualify for a $5 discount on each pair your purchase. That means you'll be able to see both shows for less than $20. WUT! Just add tickets for either show to your cart and details about how to redeem the discount offer will pop up before you check out!
Murder, You Wrote debuted at the Sacramento Comedy Spot in August of 2022. It was developed by local talent, and has been performed every month ever since by a cast of wonderfully funny homegrown improvisers and dozens of guest players from every corner of the region. The only folks having more fun than the audience are the performers on stage. If you’ve ever wondered what it would look like if Agatha Christie made a stage baby with Whose Line is it Anyway, come see the show to find out!
