Mission Gráfica, now on view at California Museum, showcases the longstanding tradition of activist printmaking in Northern California
June 8 – September 14, 2025
Experience four decades of powerful activist printmaking in Mission Gráfica: Reflecting a Community in Print, a striking bilingual exhibition showcasing the rich legacy of San Francisco's Mission Gráfica community print center.
Featuring 42 vibrant screenprints from influential artists such as Carmen Lomas Garza, Rupert Garcia, and Favianna Rodriguez, the exhibit explores themes of political resistance and social justice—from gentrification and gender inequality to international solidarity. This powerful collection displays the intersection of art and activism using text panels in both English and Spanish.
Located at 1020 O Street in the March Fong Eu Secretary of State complex, the Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $8-$10.
