Friends of Sacramento Arts (FOSA) will host its fourth annual Heroes of Arts Education Gala on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 6:00 pm, at The Sofia, 2700 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, celebrating outstanding arts educators and community leaders who champion arts education in K–12 public schools throughout the Sacramento region. We are proud to recognize SchoolsFirst Federal credit union for returning as the title sponsor of fourth annual event honoring arts educators and community leaders

The annual gala recognizes individuals whose leadership, creativity, and dedication help ensure students have access to meaningful arts education experiences, including music, dance, theater, and visual arts. The evening will feature student performances and the presentation of Heroes of Arts Education awards to educators representing school districts across Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, and Yolo counties.

Friends of Sacramento Arts works to ensure equitable access to comprehensive arts education in K–12 public schools. The nonprofit advocates for increased access to arts education, serves as a capacity builder for arts organizations and school districts, and provides resources, information, and connections that help advance arts education throughout the region.

Each year, school districts are invited to nominate an outstanding arts educator whose work exemplifies innovation, inclusion, and a deep commitment to student success. Honorees are recognized for bringing arts education into classrooms in creative and impactful ways, often reaching students who otherwise would not have access to the arts.
