The history of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is one of faith and distinction. The church began in 1945 at the Crocker Museum, located between O Street and Third Street. On December 12, 1958, the church at 711 T Street was inaugurated and consecrated. True to the founders' vision and responding to the continued growth of our Hispanic community, we aim to promote the Shrine as a welcoming religious center that fosters the values ​​distinguishing us—values ​​we bring from our respective countries of origin.

Our traditional Hispanic Guadalupan Festival (kermés) dates back to the early years of the Shrine's founding. This event helps raise funds for the Shrine while offering a time for community fellowship and cultural exchange through traditional food and folk dances. It is an event you won't want to miss. La historia del Santuario Nacional de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe es una historia de fe y distinción. En 1945 la iglesia inició en el Museo Crocker entre la calle O y Tercera. El 12 de diciembre de 1958 se inaugura y consagra la iglesia en el 711 de la calle T. Fieles al deseo de sus fundadores, y atendiendo al continuo crecimiento de nuestra población hispana, queremos promover al Santuario como un centro religioso de acogida y cultivo de los valores que nos distinguen y que traemos desde nuestros propios países de origen.

Nuestra tradicional Fiesta Hispana Guadalupana (kermés) inicia desde los primeros años de fundación. Este evento ayuda a recaudar fondos para el Santuario, además es un tiempo de convivencia e intercambio cultural a través de comida típica y bailes folclóricos.
