Weaving is an exceptionally satisfying art form, especially when learning the basics, and then going way beyond them, to create a super vibrant and exciting piece. In this workshop, you’ll learn many stitches and techniques for creating a fabulous and unique weaving, filled with color, texture, multiple fibers, fringes, tassels and decorative elements. No art or weaving experience is necessary and all levels are most welcome. All the necessary materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring any additional materials from your home if you’d like. Bringing fabric scissors is encouraged, but not required.

About the Instructor

Vicki is an experimental and innovative fiber artist and national instructor, always finding new and unique ways to work with textiles and fibers. Through her creative process, she explores many ways to weave, layer, attach, coil, tie, knot, twist, build and develop her pieces so they are vibrant and engaging. When teaching, Vicki shares all of her techniques with her students, supporting and inspiring them to fully engage in their own creative process of discovery and expression. Her students make gorgeous and unique pieces and feel truly inspired by her teaching to dive deeper into their own artistic practice. Vicki teaches at art schools and retreats around the country, and exhibits and sells her work.
