Diamond Defense, Northern California’s premier self-defense school for women and girls, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its new Midtown Sacramento studio with an Open House on Saturday, August 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event marks an exciting milestone in Diamond Defense’s mission to provide holistic, accessible, and empowering self-defense training to the Sacramento community.

Activities include:

o Mini-classes and demonstrations based on Diamond Defense’s signature programs—R.A.D.-based Risk Awareness and Hapkido-influenced physical defense techniques.
o Meet-and-greet with owner and R.A.D.-certified instructor Lisa Thew, whose leadership and vision have empowered women throughout NorCal since 2009.
o Special opening-day promotions on SABRE self-defense essentials—trusted, effective protection tools such as pepper spray/gel, personal alarms, and stun gun devices to complement your learning and keep safety close at hand.
o Launch of the Diamond Defense Podcast, sharing real stories and practical strategies to help women protect themselves, trust their instincts, and stand strong in any situation.
o If you have a story that can help others, share it on the record and help someone else stay safe! Kellie Yvonne Raines, co-host of the Diamond Defense Podcast, will be on-site to record your personal defense story.
