Concerts in the Park Returns for 2025 Season

Concerts in the Park is a free, 9-week concert series in Cesar Chavez Plaza in downtown Sacramento running every Friday from May to June 6PM–9:30PM.

Our season length has changed this year to protect our concert-goers from the July heat. We love that concert fans are willing to stand in 110° on the concrete to see their favorite band, but it’s not the ideal scenario.

That means this year CIP runs from May – June this year, bc July ain’t getting any cooler.

Gates now open at 6PM and music doesn’t stop until 9:30PM. Perfect time to avoid the worst of the heat AND hit an after party.

CIP began over 30 years ago as a way to provide chill live music and community to people working downtown before they went home. But CIP has grown to be so much more, and as downtown changes and the Sacramento community grows and morphs, CIP does too.
