The Katie Knipp Big Band is back at the Sofia! Fresh off her 10th commercial release, Live at Theater 5150, this top 10 Billboard Blues Charting artist has lots to celebrate. Opening the show will be her new guitarist, Quinn Hedges.

“Katie’s powerful delivery is natural and authentically rooted in that classic gooshy saturated 70’s rock. I love it. She reminds me of like a Nor-Cal Fiona Apple-especially in her willingness to surprise and take fun and interesting musical turns.” – Eli Brueggemann, Musical Director for Saturday Night Live

“Knipp's unconventional vocal phrasing in her melodic music is bold, fearless….blues, art-rock, Off-Broadway cabaret, New Orleans piano, melodic rock are all there, and depending on your knowledge and background, you can hear many styles and influences.” – Mindy Giles, Sacramento Blues Society

“I haven't been this moved by anything in a long time. It just knocked me out. This is some of the most creative and beautiful song writing.” – Walter Trout

“One of Blues' most adventurous and compelling performers.” – Colin Campbell, Blues Matters Magazine, UK

“One of contemporary blues' most compelling voices” – Steph Rodriguez, Sacramento News and Review
