Discover “May Makers” in Old Sacramento Waterfront
Sacramento’s historic district celebrates handmade, local, and one-of-a-kind goods all month long
SACRAMENTO, CALIF. (May 1, 2026) – This May, Old Sacramento Waterfront invites locals and visitors to explore “May Makers,” a month-long celebration of craftsmanship, creativity, and community. Highlighting handmade, locally made, and fair trade goods, this district-wide promotion encourages guests to shop small, discover one-of-a-kind finds, and connect with the makers behind the products that define the district. May Makers is the perfect opportunity to find something truly unique, whether shoppers are looking for a Mother’s Day gift, a spring graduation present, or a thoughtful token for teacher appreciation.
From May 1 through May 31, participating businesses will feature artisan-made goods, locally crafted products, and interactive experiences, from handmade art and textiles to small-batch beverages and custom keepsakes.
