Movies Under the Stars, one of the most enchanting—and spine‑tingling—events held in Old Sacramento Waterfront starts Thursday October 2nd, 2025! Crisp autumn air, open sky overhead, and a classic Halloween film projected on a giant screen – this beloved event combines movie magic with seasonal flair, making it a fall staple for families, friends, and Halloween lovers alike.

Whats New?

Every year we reevaluate our events to see how we can make them better; for you, for impacted businesses, and for the environment. We are constantly striving to provide the best events Sacramento has every seen. Here are the improvements we’ve made this year:

More Dates!

Since this event typically sells out, we’ve expanding our programming to include Friday nights allowing more people to share the movie magic in Old Sacramento!

More Drinks!

With the help of some new sponsors, Long Drink is Movies Under the Stars Cocktail Partner! We’ll be selling three flavors of Long Drink on-site at our bar along with two varieties of Heringer Wines all for $10 each.

More vendors!

Frankies Pizza is joining us this year to sell personal pizzas to movies goers.

The Candy Barrel will still be on-site selling chocolates, chews, and crunchy candies.

Cerealism will be on-site offering their delicious themed beverages!

New Coupon!

Preferred ticket holders are receiving $5 off to spend at our on-site vendors: Frankies Pizza, Candy Barrel, and Cerealism. We hope you utilize these coupons with our on-site vendors who are Old Sacramento Waterfront small business owners.
