Sacramento’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade Kicks Off March 14

(Feb. 18, 2020) The Old Sacramento Waterfront will once again be the place for all things green this St. Patrick’s Day! On Saturday, March 14, 2020, join hundreds of colorful marchers dressed in green, along with Irish and Highland dancers, pipe and drum bands, historic re-enactors and a variety of cultural organizations at the 24th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade presented by Xfinity stepping off at 1 p.m. from Neasham and Front Street.

The fun begins at 11 a.m. with performers from the BlyueRose Dance Project, McKeever School of Irish Dance and Dirty Chops Bass Band dancing throughout the Old Sacramento Waterfront district alongside a lineup of local vendors and shops offering “lucky” specials. The parade, led by Grand Marshall Sacramento Councilmember Steve Hansen, steps off at 1 p.m. with nearly 50 organizations and groups participating. Head to the boardwalks of L Street, Front Street, J Street, and 2nd Street for the best views!

Following, stay for music groups like Voice Academy and Rebel Heart performing next to the Guinness beer garden at 2nd and K streets, and don’t forget to swing by the Vendor Village on K Street and explore the unique businesses at the Old Sacramento Waterfront.
