Go Red for Women 2017

February is Heart Month and the American Heart Association would once again like to encourage all downtown businesses and properties to Go Red. We had lots of great participation last year (Park Tower, 300 Capitol Mall, Bank of the West Tower, US Bank Tower and Wells Fargo Tower, to name a few) and we want everyone in Sac to see red in February 2017!

Everyone can support the fight against heart disease in women by wearing red on National Wear Red Day (Feb. 3rd). It’s a simple, powerful way to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke. But, you don’t have to stop there. This February the American Heart Association is inviting you and your building or landmark to Go Red. As a participant, you will join the ranks of Niagara Falls, the Empire State Building, the Sears Tower, the Space Needle in Seattle, Times Square and many more.

Going red could be as simple as uplighting your building/windows red, tying red ribbons around trees, handing out red dress pins and asking your tenants to wear red on Feb 3rd. If your buildings already have some holiday uplighting installed, it might be an easy transition to go all red for this cause.

If you have any questions or need ideas on how to Go Red, please contact Michael Castillo from the American Heart Association at [email protected] or 916-431-2383.
