Considered a modern classic, WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME navigates our modern American landscape through reflection, narrative, and civil debate. Fifteen-year-old Heidi earned her college tuition by winning Constitutional debate competitions across the U.S. Later in her life, she reflects on those competitions and the impact they had on her as an American citizen. In this hilarious new play, she resurrects her teenage self in order to trace the profound relationship between four generations of women and the founding document that shaped their lives.

“Uproariously funny, wrenchingly moving, critically challenging and politically inspiring.” – The New York Review of Books
