Create a custom set of your own Tarot cards! In this three-part class, you’ll receive an overview of the symbology of the Major Arcana, as well as instructions in the basics of mixed media collage in order to produce your personalized set of 22 cards. Materials, including blank cards, art magazines, handmade and specialty papers, stamps, stickers, and other decorative ephemera will be provided, but please feel free to bring any additional materials that inspire you! In the first class, you will learn about the Major Arcana in Tarot, a synopsis of common symbols/icons, and how these cards may be interpreted in a reading. The remaining class time will be spent combining elements from various media into your final product. Participants will leave with a laminated set of cards (we will be doing the Major Arcana only — 22 cards), plus a bonus velvet carrying case for readings on the go! Beginners welcome, no prior experience necessary.
