City to Propose New Citywide Development Impact Fee

This fall, the City of Sacramento will propose a new Citywide Development Impact Fee (CDIF) program. In summary, the program would establish a master ordinance that consolidates all development fees into one planning code section. Some of the big changes the program would bring include, a CHANGE to the current Parks Development Impact Fee (PDIF), NEW Transportation Development Impact Fee (TDIF) main-visualto fund transportation improvement projects citywide, and NEW fee deferral program for residential, mixed-use and large non-residential (100,000 sq. ft.+) projects to defer fee payments.

The City is now seeking feedback from the community to these proposed changes. On Aug. 3 the DSP Strategic Development Committee provided feedback to staff to amend the proposal. Now, it’s your turn! Attend the first community workshop on Wed. Aug. 10 to give your feedback to the City.

More information on the CDIF is available from the City here.
