Creating Our Spaces

Downtown Sacramento Partnership regularly participates in activation and revitalization projects and initiatives to help shepherd outcomes, which promote active use of our public spaces. Here’s how the Partnership supported initiatives for creating our spaces in the last year:

Sacramento Transportation PrioritiesSupported the Transportation Priorities Plan to address improvements on transit systems, bicycle and pedestrian safety, and complete streets in the downtown core. 
Central City Mobility PlanAdvocated for enhanced travel safety and streamlined connection within the urban core through the Central City Mobility Plan.
SacRT: SacRT Rail Vehicle Replacement, MPDG Application, RAISE Application & TIRCP ApplicationEngaged in partnership with SacRT to enhance public transit infrastructure through advocating for a federal Rail Vehicle Replacement Program grant, which would fund modern low-floor light rail vehicles to be used on Sacramento’s light rail system.
Nighttime Economy ManagerPrioritized the creation of a city Nighttime Economy Manager to support Sacramento’s growing nightlife and sociable economy. 
Old Sacramento Waterfront Dock OrdinancePrioritized management of Old Sacramento Waterfront docks to ensure public safety and economic activity needs are met.
SB 972 (Gonzalez) – PassedOpposed SB 972 to address street vendor noncompliance and urge solutions that champion entrepreneurship in the state, while also protecting public health and safety.
