Keeping Downtown Clean & Safe
The Downtown Sacramento Partnership's programs support the development of downtown office, retail and entertainment uses by maintaining a clean and safe environment for patrons.
Community Service Guides
The Community Service Guides provide customer service to downtown patrons and also support law enforcement agencies, property owners and merchants in overall crime prevention. To contact the DSP Community Service Guides, call (916) 442-2200.
Basic Services
- Direct and assist visitors
- Escort Employees and patrons
- Serve as eyes and ears for local law enforcement
- Document and report graffiti
- Deter aggressive panhandling
- Deter drinking in public

Navigator Team
The Navigator program was established in June 2004 to assist homeless individuals in gaining access to human services and medical attention they require. The program operates under the notion that homelessness is not permanent. Rather, it is a temporary state of being and can be changed. The goal of the program is to increase access to care and to identify long-term solutions to improve their quality of life and ultimately end their state of homelessness. Basic Services
- Accompany homeless clients to appointments
- Review paperwork
- Follow up on clients' waiting list status
- Arrange transportation for clients to meetings
- Accompany clients to access services
- Partner with social service organizations to provide care to clients
- Monitor social service availability for clients

Clean Streets Team
The Clean Streets team enhances the attractiveness of Downtown by responding to on-call maintenance issues and by providing streets cleaning services. To contact the DSP Clean Streets team, call (916) 442-2200.
Basic Services
- Pressure washing of sidewalks
- Pressure washing of alleys
- Graffiti removal
- Litter removal and leaf collection
- Quarterly deep cleaning of K Street
- Removal of abandoned property and debris
- Benchmark maintenance issues
